At First Church, we believe that community with other believers is of the utmost importance. It is in this community that the body of Christ finds strength, encouragement, accountability and spiritual growth. We know that our community grows through the fellowship of both intimate groups that meet in homes (like the original first church) as well our larger fellowship and worship services on Sundays.
Fellowship and interaction with God’s people is a positive factor in your spiritual growth. One man of God called it taking sweet counsel together, walking unto the house of God in company (Psalms 55:14). Another spoke of how thankful he was for their fellowship in the gospel (Philippians 1:5). Another said “If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleans us from all sin (I John 1:7). We are told not to give up the gathering of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25). The custom of Jesus (our ultimate role model) was to regularly attend the services in the synagogue (today’s Church). As you can clearly see, it is vital that we attach ourselves to a group of Christians where we can grow in the Lord.
We invite you to come and experience the power of God’s presence in the fellowship of His people.
